On Friday 23rd October we took part in fundraising for Breast Cancer Awareness day, and we wanted to share what a fun day we had with everyone. We tried to make the office as big, bright and bold as it could possibly be – by decorating the office with bunting and balloons and wearing as much pink as we could find in our wardrobes!
We have been raising as much awareness as possible over social media with the lead up to Wear It Pink Friday, with many posters dotted around the building to advertise our Think Pink Bake Sale – which went scrumptiously well! We partnered up with the Heritage Exchange reception team and sold as many cupcakes and buns as we could and raised an astonishing £160 on the Bake Sale!
We were amazed at how much support we received on the day to really fundraise as much as possible for such a great cause. Being an all-female office, Breast Cancer Awareness is close to all of our hearts, and we were extremely grateful for how much money we raised for such a worthwhile cause.
We also had Think Pink games, quizzes, and fancy dress competitions which all raised extra money on top of the Bake Sale, encouraging further donations. We had multiple collection boxes around Heritage, and raised a good sum of money from our box in the Heritage Bistro who did fantastic collecting donations.
In total, we raised a staggering £267.14 after our own personal donations added on to the total, and our company Temporis Legal Recruitment itself put in an extra donation. We were absolutely chuffed with the total raised. Absolutely fantastic!
A big thank you to everyone who helped make Wear It Pink day the success it was, and it was brilliant to be a part of something that will have made a big difference. We look forward to joining in on future events and we hope that everyone was inspired with how a little donation by each individual can really make a big difference, a big thank you to the organisers of such a great event – thank you Breast Cancer Now from all of us here at Temporis Legal Recruitment, we will most definitely be Wearing It Pink again next year!
