After only being at Temporis for one month, I feel completely settled in and a real part of the team. When coming to the end of my four-year hospitality business management degree course in May, I was very keen to find a career path. Being a part of the recruitment industry was something I thought I’d love to get into, due to the variety of job roles that come in. I applied for the legal resourcer role at Temporis and was very impressed by the team and how they made me feel so welcome before I was even offered my position! I gladly accepted my offer and had a few exciting weeks before I started as a legal resourcer in mid-July as I finally graduated.

Taking a leap into an industry I was not familiar with was not easy, but the new prospects was exciting for me to develop into. With a supporting team, I was able to develop my skills whilst training and by the end of my first week, I definitely knew Temporis was the right organisation and career path for myself. I love working with candidates on a daily basis, helping them to find their new career both on a locum and permanent basis. Moving straight from lecture halls at university into an office role where the two environments were completely different was also a challenge, but when studying business management, I sort of knew what to expect. I also knew that the working environment was important in order to have a productive and happy workforce. No two days are ever the same as being mainly a part of the locum team, the fast movement of this sector was something that I had to get used to, but keeps myself motivated to help a range of candidates to find their most suitable position. It can be stressful at times for the candidate and also the agency, but the happiness of the candidate’s career is of the upmost importance.

Another enjoyable and key aspect of my role is catching up with our current candidates, keeping their details up to date as well as building a strong relationship. I will catch up with candidate’s current work situations, and help them with any enquiries or any new roles that may be now suitable for the individual, as situations can change on a daily basis. From this, the team will know when the candidate is available for new roles, so proactive work for the individual can be made in order to find a new position.

If you have now come to the decision that you would like some help with regards to your next career move, Temporis Legal Recruitment can most definitely help. The team pride themselves on the relationships they build with both candidates and clients alike, and offer a helping hand and reassurance when they are needed the most. If you would like to feel a valued member of a team like I do, we would be delighted to have a confidential conversation and help you in any way we can.
