Everything You Need to Know About Working With Us

Frequently asked questions

We know recruitment can raise questions. Our FAQs give clear answers for both candidates and employers. If you need more help, our team is only a message away.

Here’s What Candidates
Ask Us Most

  • Yes, all of the hourly rates that we quote to you are all-inclusive, and account for the candidate’s hourly rate, our payroll and associated admin costs, as well as our agency charge. The only additional cost to yourselves would be from VAT.

  • Whilst locum is our bread and butter, we have a great track record of finding people their new permanent home too, whether that be on a temp-to-perm basis, or going permanent right from the off, we are on hand to secure you a brilliant new addition to the team.

  • No, not all locums, however hybrid always gives a firm a great selling point, especially if your office isn’t the easiest to get to. Fully remote working roles do give you the widest possible pool from which to secure a locum, but most locums accept that a firm’s preference is office attendance.

Indeed, Temporis are fortunate enough to work with several candidates who prefer to be in the office!

  • If your firm is suddenly in need of cover due to ill health, or a member of the team leaves and you need someone to pick up the caseload whilst you recruit a replacement then a locum is a fantastic option.

Locums are available on short notice, often on an immediate basis, and with their wealth of experience can hit the ground running, meaning your clients are kept happy and your colleagues aren’t overwhelmed with their workload.

Locums also offer flexibility; when your team member returns to work, the backlog of work is cleared or you recruit that new member of staff, you let us know and after a week’s notice the locum moves onto a new opportunity

Experience, flexibility and efficiency, that’s what a locum can offer a firm!

  • Our payroll deadline is Mondays at 17:00pm. You must submit your timesheets and invoices to our payroll team by then and you will be paid on the subsequent Friday. If you miss the deadline, it rolls over to the next week.

  • Whilst locum is our bread and butter, we have a great track record of finding people their new permanent home too, whether that be on a temp-to-perm basis, or going permanent right from the off, we are ready to get you that dream new job.

  • No! When you send us your CV, we will never then just pass that on to a client. We will give you a ring about any prospective role we think could work and get your permission to release your CV. When we go out to market, we will send out an anonymous synopsis of your skill set, so no personal details will be released without your express permission.

  • No, absolutely not! Here at Temporis, all our consultants work collaboratively as a team, we handle each other’s caseloads as though they were our own, we all share notes and if the first person you’ve spoken with isn’t available right now, you can speak to a colleague, and they will be just as happy to help!

  • Well, only if you want to! Most of our placements are longer term, lasting months, we even have some candidates in place for over a year. On the other hand, if you've had longevity and you want to spend time here, there and everywhere, then no problem, we can get you roles to suit you!

  • Locuming has some exceptional benefits for those brave enough to take the plunge!

Needing a bit more flexibility than your permanent job can offer? Locuming gives you the chance to find the role with the right number of hours for you.

Office politics getting too much? With locuming, you go in, do your work and you go home again, all without the burden of getting involved in any internal politics.

Is your current role not paying you enough? Locuming is extremely lucrative, especially if your area of law is in high demand!
