The successful candidate will be handling a caseload that includes:
Company commercial director / shareholder disputes
Business partnership disputes
Breach of contract
Commercial and residential property claims
ToLATA
Boundary / neighbour disputes
Private nuisance
Harassment and defamation
Insolvency claims
Candidates must be comfortable with:
Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including particulars of claim, defences, disclosure and witness statements, from instruction through to resolution
Conducting advocacy in appropriate hearings (where rights of audience permit) and instructing counsel when necessary
Advising clients on dispute resolution strategies, including negotiation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
Ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and relevant court deadlines
Maintaining accurate file management
Building and maintaining strong client relationships including networking and attending business sponsored or organised events as required
The candidate should be:
A qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a current practising certificate, OR a Chartered Legal Executive Litigator or CILEX Lawyer
In possession of a strong knowledge of CPR and litigation process
Able to work collaboratively within a team and mentor and support junior members of the team
Excellent at drafting, analytical and advocacy skills
Commercially aware with a client focused approach
